New applicants

Courses required for admission 

  • Chemistry 30
  • Biology 30
  • Math 30-1*
  • English 30-1
  • One approved 30 level course

The approximate average for new applicants is low to mid-80s, calculated over the five courses listed above. Kinesiology has a limited number of spaces available. Applicants are admitted based on academic performance, until enrolment maximum is reached.

Please note: 
*Biomechanics, and Exercise and Health Physiology majors, require a minimum of 70 per cent in Math 30-1
*Biomechanics majors require Math 31 (calculus) and Physics 30 is recommended but will not be counted in the calculation for incoming average.

Transfer students

If you are transferring from another program, you will need the following:

  • The admission requirements and courses listed to the left.
  • Competitive GPA for the year to which you apply.

Please note: You must have completed a minimum of 12 units by the end of fall in the year of application. GPA is calculated on your most recent 12 to 30 units. 

Indigenous students

If you self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) on your application form, you automatically receive consideration under the Indigenous admissions process, if needed. Learn more
